Develops new prospects and interacts with existing customers to maintain and increase the sales volume of the Company’s products and services. Accountable for designated customer sales goals and plans with an emphasis on Indiana and bordering states. Relies on experience and sound judgment to plan and accomplish sales goals. Position is based in Fort Wayne, IN.
Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations; preparing quotations. Develop and maintain strong client relationships with customers. Sales focus primarily with Parker product line. To maintain and increase revenue, with margin awareness. Develop and maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of products, applications, features, advantages and benefits. Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of competitive products, their activity in the marketplace and keeps management aware of changes.
Proactively works with management, customer service and other company personnel to ensure profitable sales growth. Represent company at customer’s, prospects, trade shows and other professional activities. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Reports to Director of Sales and Marketing.
College degree (technical/engineering discipline preferred). A minimum of 3 years’ experience in direct sales and/or distributor sales preferably of industrial technical products. Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written. Strong organizational and project management skills. Required Skills: Meeting Sales Goals, Prospecting Skills, Closing Skills, Technical Understanding, Building Relationships, People Skills, PC & Microsoft Office Skills, Customer Focus, Professionalism and Motivation for Sales. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to travel overnight, as required.
