“We are pleased to start this expansion that will enable Pro Seal & Plastics to continue its historic 22 percent to 28 percent year-over-year growth,” said Jay Witte, general manager. “Our new building and site, in addition to continued investment in technology, innovation and our dedicated employees, will assure that we provide exceptional value to our customers and enable this company to double in size over the next three to five years. Fort Wayne has been an ideal location to conduct both domestic and international business due to its logistical infrastructure of air cargo, small package and rail freight services.”
“We are proud to see continuing growth of an entrepreneurial company like Pro Seal & Plastics, especially one experiencing such outstanding increases in its export business,” said Fort Wayne Mayor Graham Richard. “Fort Wayne and Northeast Indiana offer businesses the perfect place in which to thrive and grow. The City will work to assist Pro Seal & Plastics in every way possible.” The Fort Wayne Redevelopment Commission will consider Pro Seal & Plastics’ application for tax abatement on eligible real and personal property related to its expansion project at its meeting on Monday.
The company exports approximately two-thirds of its products to manufacturers in Canada, the United Kingdom, Italy, Brazil, Germany, the Netherlands and China.
About Pro Seal & Plastics
Pro Seal & Plastics was founded in 2000 and services a market niche that other seal suppliers do not—specialized kitting and subassembly solutions for original equipment manufacturer (OEM), maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and aftermarket suppliers to the industrial, construction and commercial markets. Pro Seal’s sister company, Seal Products, pioneered the process of sealing elements into single seal kits for world-class equipment manufacturers across North America. Nearly 70 percent of Pro Seal’s sales are now made to international customers. Pro Seal utilizes more than 150 suppliers and offers inventory solutions that include custom stocking, kanban, inventory consignment, single-source supply, private packaging, bar coding, sub-component assembly and other programs. The company’s experienced engineers provide a range of technical services from application and design engineering to material selection and specification.
